Charlie McIlroy appointed Ultimate High Chief Pilot

Andy Cubin has operated as Chief Pilot for Ultimate High over the past few years and has contributed massively towards getting the company to where it is today. We are once again enjoying our busiest year ever, with a strongly growing reputation for advanced flying training in the GA community. However, Andy has also been storming through the ranks at his airline and has been finding it difficult to commit the same time and effort that he had previously enjoyed, and so regretfully has decided to step down as Chief Pilot. He will continue to fly and instruct for us.

Andy has made a massive contribution in helping to drive the business forward. He was instrumental in helping to get our commercial activities off the ground, has proactively helped to generate new business and has produced an excellent collection of course outlines and briefing materials for our various training products. We are extremely grateful for his efforts.

The company is fortunate in boasting a large number of highly experienced and capable pilots, which is of course the unique platform from which we market our services. We are

delighted to report that Charlie McIlroy has accepted the post of Ultimate High Chief Pilot. Charlie has been flying with the company for 15 months now and will no doubt bring fresh ideas and impetus to further develop our organisation. Being the proud owner of an AA5B and working on building his own Vans RV6 gives Charlie a good insight into the issues faced by GA pilots, and helping PPLs to develop their skills is an area that he feels particularly strongly about!

Flying the Press / TV Filming:

Our display pilots are extremely experienced in operating and dealing with the media as we often work closely with producers to create bespoke programmes. We have worked directly with many TV companies including the BBC, ITV (various channels), Nickelodeon, Nuts TV others.

We have on-board digital video recorders with camera mounts on the wings, nose, cockpit and tail-fin of the aircraft. The performance and agility of the Extra300 aircraft makes this a superb camera ship.

For newspapers, in the run up to an event, we can offer advance photo-news stories to all your local media. If required, we can also arrange press flying, including broadcast quality video that can be used directly by TV.

We can offer prizes which can be flown at our Advanced Flying Training Academy at Kemble.
