Ultimate High is delighted to offer Flying Instructors (FIs, RI(R)s or AFIs) the opportunity to remove their Aerobatics Restriction (required in order for them to conduct aerobatics instruction), in conjunction with Bournemouth Commercial Flight Training (BCFT).
Course Pre-Requisites
Students should have:
a) at least the licence, rating and qualification for which instruction is being given (A UK/JAA/JAR Licence with a current valid SEPL).
b) an AOPA Aerobatic Certificate or have reasonable previous aerobatic experience (eg Military pilot, BAeA recognition or satisfactory flying assessment by an FIC instructor).
Course Outline
Ground Training: 8 hours of ground instruction (3 hours technical & 5 hours briefings)
Flying Training: 5 hours of dual instruction.
The student instructor will be required to give ground lectures to the FIC instructor, including how to teach the manoeuvres, looking at and developing in particular the "What if" scenarios of UA's/UP's etc, and the psychology of teaching, as well as the development of the instructor giving new briefings.
There is no formal test or check at the end of the course.
Flying normally takes place over 2-3 days. The course usually takes place in the Bulldog.
