Do you feel the need - the need for speed??

Your ex-military instructors will demonstrate a formation take-off and close formation manoeuvering before teaching you how to fly aerobatics - yourself! After you have flown some aerobatic manoeuvres to acclimatise you to the g-force, you will be introduced to tailchasing and air combat - the sport of kings!

The flight profile is similar to the Top Gun Experience in the Bulldog, but here you will be flying the world's top 2-seat stunt plane, the Extra300, which can fly faster, turn tighter and pull more g-force. The excitement of seeing your guns "kill" confirmed with a burst of smoke is just incomparable. This is truly a once in a lifetime experience!

Typical Half Day

Welcome & Kit Out You and your opponent(s) will be kitted out in military flying suits.
You then choose your call-sign name badge ("Maverick", "Iceman" etc) for the day.

Group Briefing You will be taught how to fly aerobatics and air combat manoeuvres.
The briefing includes a detailed safety/parachute brief.

Ready to walk You are matched into Ultimate Top Gun "pairs" and are introduced to your ex-military instructor pilot.

At aircraft Strap on parachute. Cockpit Controls and Safety Brief.

Flight Formation take-off (2 aircraft)
Formation close manoeuvrering in the climb
Learn effects of aircraft controls and aerobatics manoeuvres
Time for air combat against your opponent - shoot the bad guy!
Return to Base - fighter pilot rejoin to land

Exit aircraft Exit aircraft and talk about how great you were!

Debrief "Pairs" debrief with your instructors, including amount of g pulled, review of air combat results and flight certificate.
Opportunity to purchase a DVD of your flight.

Aircraft Extra300

Duration You will be with us for 3-4 hours (start times are usually 9.30 or 13.00)
Your flying time is around 45 minutes and briefing around 40 minutes.

Medical criteria Weight limit is 15 stone 7lbs. Height limit is 6ft 4".
Over 61s must supply a doctor's letter confirming suitability to fly.

Availability Flights take place March-November inclusive.
Flights are mostly on a Friday & Saturday, unless you book as a pair.
