Want to know the difference between the T67 Slingsby Firefly and the Extra 300 Aircraft?

Compare our two high-performance aerobatic aircraft and discover which one suits your flying adventure.

T67 FIREFLY

The T67 Firefly is an aerobatic training aircraft used by the military to prepare pilots for fast jets. The RAF operated it from 1995 to 2010, and several air forces around the world still fly it today.

It has a tricycle undercarriage with one nose wheel and two main wheels on the wings. Unusually for side-by-side light aircraft, the T67M260 version is flown solo from the right-hand seat. This layout helps student pilots get used to the left-hand throttle used in most military jets.

Ultimate High operates three T67 Slingsby Firefly aircraft.

Extra 300

The Extra 300 is built purely for world-class aerobatic competitions and air displays. It’s the two-seat version of the aircraft seen in the Red Bull Air Races.

This taildragger has two wheels at the front and one on the tail. Designed for extreme performance, the Extra 300 can perform breathtaking gyroscopic “tumbling” manoeuvres that few aircraft can match.
